For more than a decade, Kim Rozzell-Miller has dedicated her career to helping authors achieve their publishing dreams as a PR Counselor and Publicist to New York Times bestsellers, award-winning authors, and writers making their publishing debuts. In addition to developing creative promotional strategies for authors in a variety of genres, Kim also specializes in brand development, social media maximization, feature and news writing, design, and content creation.
After graduating from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with honors, Kim worked many years as a journalist and marketing professional for a variety of businesses until she found her calling in the publishing industry, working as an author publicist with a local literary agency. There, she developed an intimate knowledge of traditional and self-publishing.
Now, Kim serves as owner and CEO of Author’s Umbrella, an agency dedicated to coaching authors on how best to rise above the noise and get noticed in their publishing endeavors. Author’s Umbrella provides custom writing, design, and creative strategies for upcoming book releases along with a host of other services that allow authors to focus on what they do best – write engaging books.
As an author advocate, she delights in using her strengths and passion for creating dynamic and effective marketing solutions to help advance the careers of her clients. And the free books are a nice perk, too.
When she’s not in front of her computer developing innovative marketing strategies, Kim spends her time testing recipes in the kitchen with her sweetheart, Nick, and navigating the turbulent waters of parenting three girls. Her free time (hahahahaha!) is spent doodling in her bullet journal or participating in various fitness and health-related pursuits.
